The past few days have been pretty intense for me. I’ve been working on a lot of different projects and I’ve been super busy. I had the opportunity to go to the New York Art Fair and visit some friends, so I’ve been able to get away from work, but I’ve also been spending a lot of time reading and thinking about what I want to do for the rest of my life. It’s really been an interesting time.

I guess since the New York Art Fair is a main focus of the New York Art Fair, it’s not really a problem. But it really does seem to be a bit distracting and a little bit out of whack. I think it’s fine that there are some larger art fairs, but this one does seem a bit out of step.
The first thing I noticed when I stepped outside was the huge, colorful tents. While I have to admit that the larger tents are nice, I think its a little too much. They are too much like the art fair. They’re not really art fairs, they’re just exhibitions with art. Its a little jarring to be standing in front of all those tents, wondering what they are for, while a bunch of people are making their own art right in front of you.
I would also agree that the artists are making art, but the art fair seems more like a gallery than a fair. I’m not sure if this is because the artists are usually artists, or if it’s because the artists are in the same room as the gallery owners.
The artists themselves are selling their work, the art fairs are selling their work. There are no “art” galleries, there are just art-for-art’s sake.
The art fairs are all over the place, but the art fairs are just the artists. It’s actually harder to do something like art fairs than art fairs, so it’s not a big deal.
