It’s no secret that a lot of the time we don’t realize how much we are influencing the actions of others around us.
You can think of it as one way we are more aware of our own actions and reactions. For instance, when we are in a bad mood or angry, we tend to take our rage out on someone else. This is an example of how we can be influenced by our environment.
Like most of our thoughts and actions, these things are on autopilot. We don’t actually think about them for very long, we just react to them. In the new trailer we find out that Colt has been locked into Blackreef’s party island for months, and he can’t remember anything about his life before that. He’s got this vague memory of being on a beach a long time ago with no memory of why he’s there, and the island has been cursed to repeat itself every day. The only way to free Colt is by destroying the Visionaries.
Colt Vahn was locked into Blackreef’s party island for months. He seems to have no memory of what happened to him, and the island has been cursed to repeat itself every day. He was locked into the party island because he spent months doing something bad. We can probably assume that he got locked into the island of his memories because he was the head of security at one of the Visionaries.
Well, sure, we could just call that a coincidence, but you don’t get to choose a random source of trouble. The point is that we’re stuck in that same cycle of repeating that which causes us to repeat it and can’t get out of it.
This story goes back to a season in the life of one of the Visionaries’ and some of our favorite past characters, Colt Vahn. Colt has a problem that he’s always had and never really explained to anyone. It’s called like a queen. To the Visionaries, this would be a rare species of monster, one that is only in their dreams.
Here it gets really weird. Colt Vahn is a person who seems to have been on the island longer than anyone else. In reality he had gone to sleep for thousands of years, but in his dreams he’s a “legendary person” from a time when other Visionaries were just mythological creatures. When he wakes up from his sleep, he’s a woman, and he’s the only one who can see over the sea toward the island.
