If I asked most of my friends to write about what makes them happy, if I included the word “self-awareness”, “self-care”, and “self-reliance”, then most of them would probably be doing just that. But I like to think that my friends are just super-smart and creative, and if they get super-satisfied with just their physical bodies, then maybe they’ll think about the bigger picture.
That’s exactly how Dr. Seuss’s beloved characters, the Peanutbuttons, think. Their characters are incredibly clever and they have a lot of fun with it. But when they’re happy, they’re happy with themselves. They just don’t care what others think.
The Peanutbuttons have a lot of fun with this, but their characters do not need a big social media presence to be happy. But I love the idea of this idea that you can start living your life with the mindset that youre happy with the way you are now. So if youre not happy with how you are, then you can just stop trying. I think the Peanutbuttons are really good role models for that.

When you look at a person and then look at them some more, thats the point where you come to a conclusion. It doesn’t mean you’re going to be friends with them, but when you see them again, you can see that what you thought they looked like was just a different person.
